Of course I’m gone for the summer and this group gets going. I’ll be back in August though! We can do a meet up at the free parking lot at Commonhouse brewing easily.

I'm going to be here for the foreseeable future so I'm game for whatever, barring any military obligations that is. I've been eye-balling the Georgia Traverse and would like to take a run down it someday, possibly next year. Does anyone have any insight as to what I might be getting into? Youtube videos don't do it justice. If you're unfamiliar about the Georgia Traverse check http://www.georgiaoverland.com/the-georgia-traverse.html

My plan was top up in Walhalla SC for gas and supplies then head West through the traverse on a long 3 or 4 day weekend. I'd run it first with the wife and kid before I felt comfortable enough to lead an expedition through the Georgian wilds. I'm just putting out feelers to gauge interest in a trip like that. Again, it wouldn't be this year since I'm still waiting on pulling the trigger on a BAMF bedrack and RTT. There's a lot of options now in the RTT platform and picking out the right one for my little family is starting to be a chore.

I'm still looking forward to meeting some of the natives over a beer and BS.

Anytime you want to grab a bite and beer, just say the word. A few of us just got together today for a quick impromptu bite at Tattooed Moose.

You should consider an SOS Concepts rack or bars since @EddyRRT is local in Laurens so it’d be an easy jog up 26 to grab it and save on shipping.

Also, I literally just pulled off my RTT from the trailer today so it’s for sale if you’re interested. A couple years old and about 10 or so nights spent in it. It’s a CVT Mt. Shasta Extended Summit in gray and will come with everything as if you bought it from CVT (including the awning room).

I'm down! I should be back in November so my grill will get broken back in then. She's currently in hibernation . Why'd you move from Hilton Head?

Gotcha. That makes sense .plus, it's a pretty nice area, and not crazy crowded yet . If y'all need anything let us know!

Thanks bud! Same for you...let me know if anything is needed. We figured we got in before it got too crazy...kind of wish we would have made the move a few years ago when we were considering it then but better late than never.

Yeah we figured at least we got in before the peak so we could at least get a good return if we decided to sell later down the road.

Our thoughts too...and we basically stole this house at the price we got it for. For some reason it sat on the market for 6 months but everything about it was perfect for us. Guess it was just one of those “meant to be” things. :notsure:
