Just stumbled across this thread. Pretty cool to see so many local TacomaWorld members. I’m in Belmont near the Abby. I see A-1 near me has been a shop some of y’all have frequented. Small world.

Up in the Carolina Hemlock. Decided not to go completely primitive. Just getting away after saying goodbye to a family member this weekend.
Already warned: neighbor left their food out and had a visitor the other night. Said the bear sat down at the picnic table just like a regular person and even left the trash in a neat little pile!

I'm looking to have my fender flares professionally painted black. Any recommendations of some good auto paint shops in the Charlotte area? Thanks!

Might be cheaper to just buy the Off Road ones rather than paying a body shop for a ton of labor hours.

That’s a great point and that’s one of the options I’ve been exploring. However to buy the Offroad ones would cost about $700 which I think is ridiculous. Another option I’m looking at are the black Lund Sport Style flares which run about $369 for a set of 4 - they look similar to OEM but are slightly wider. And of course the option of taking them to a shop and having them painted black, although I have no clue how much that would cost.

This whole wild goose chase got started because I plastidipped the flares a few days ago and really like the look, but the finish looks kind of crappy and I’m seeking a more permanent solution.

Scuff them up a little and DIY it find a black color you like and spray paint them if you take your time it can really turn out good. You can also get spray clear coat in whatever you like flat, satin, or gloss.
