Just admiring a nice rig when I see one. TW sticker always attracts attention too.

I got a few TW stickers since I got EST's old cap. The only problem is most of the Tacos in the triad are 3rd gens and bro'ed out. They look at my rig with confusion on their faces, priceless! Plus the Triad thread and guys seem pretty dead.

I see trucks like that roll up in my rearview and don't even look at them. Don't give a shit how much money your mommy/daddy paid for your truck and mods. They dick around and I drive away.

an aal is an aal it'll take you a couple hours anyway 2-4 if you take your time. Make sure you have the tools yoou need on hand and at least 2 good c clamps.

Thank you! I haven't done one personally before, but I'm slowly buying parts for my lift and I'm leaning towards an aal, so just wanted to get an idea of what I'm getting into before I go and buy it.

I've done aal's and spring packs. Personally if I were going to do an AAl I'd spend just a bit more and get a 3 leaf progressive aal. A single providing a good bit of lift can be really stiff and I've seen them not last that long and your back where you started kinda. I don't mean to sound like I'm downing them they do work good but I like the 3 peaf progressive aal's. They ride a bit better, flex pretty well, and I haven't found a load yet that made them squat. They give the back a bit more lift than advertised as I end up 2" higher in the rear than the front but I'm good with that as I'm more concerned with how it works than how it looks. and i don't think my truck looks bad (if anybody else does keep it to yourself or I'll get a complex). The 3 leaf is about twice as much as a single but, to me, well worth it. You will need a set odf Bilstein 5125's to function properly I haven't seen that extended brake lines a necessary though they wouldn't hurt.

I hear ya, I appreciate the info. This is why I always post here for info

What lift set up do you have on the front of your truck? I'm planning on 888 OME coils and 5100 Bilstein to get about 2"-2.5" in the front, and then just bring the back up enough to keep the back about level with the front.

I have a setup I bought from Neal one of your guys down there. Bilstein 5100's @0 with Eibach 2.5" coils with a 3/8 top plate spacer on the driver's side and 1/4 on the other side. Camburg ball joint UCA's and Wheeler's super bumps. I love it. It rides great and works great but idk how this setup would work on a third gen tbh. Hell I'm no expert at this stuff. I had almost the exact same setup on my other Tacoma and liked it so when this came available I jumped on it.

I'd stick with 887's unless you are planning on installing new UCAs. Those coils will give you too much lift.

I have a set of Wheelers 3 leaf AAL that I will be installing soon, I'll let you know how difficult it is.

What UCAs are recommended for a 3rd gen with 888 coils? I already have the 888s ordered lol I've been looking at ucas but don't really know what to go with yet
