At least you are getting out and driving it not pampering and letting a new car sit!

Because my work is 40mi one way...shit sucks

Looking to move in the next few years. I like my homestead, but maintaining 2+ac and having a long commute is getting to be difficult. Now we have a newborn in the mix and I'm taking care of her on the weekends while my girl works 6am-8pm. I can't get shit done on the weekends and I don't get home until late on week days, f'n sucks.

Anyone plan on going to the Dixie Gun & Knife show in Charlotte Feb 3-4th? The shows back in PA tended to be pretty lame so I was wondering if the ones local to Charlotte are any better.

Only if you are in the market for beef jerky, potato peelers, and/or chinese jewelry.

Sometimes you can find something good at a Dixie show but it's a crap shoot.

I've never found a "good" deal on anything at a gun show. I used to go to them ALL a few years ago.

I used to go to one in Bucks Co and one in Allentown. Both regularly had more knockoff Nazi crap than actual firearms.

I guess I am looking at different things I have found many a nice old surplus guns where the dealer didn't know what they had. You just have to be in the know and know what you are looking at. For example I have a Tika built Mosin Nagant grant it it's a mosin but it is one of the rarest and in the mosin collector game the highest quality. I got it for a hundred bucks it's worth a little over $300. I got a nice K31 swiss that way as well. You have to be looking at more than just what it is normally and look at the manufacturers and the serial #s etc. A guy snatched a super clean Garand out from me that was made by the rockola juke box company those are just really cool to have he got a killer deal on it. The older stuff is where the deals are not any of the newer stuff I'll stick to my local gun store for that stuff.

Not big on C&R, but I do have a 91/30 and an M44 (w/muzzle brake)

This, however, is my most fun gun to shoot -- Sig 1911-22 with a suppressor :D

    Nice you have a trust?

My most fun gun has to be any of my 10/22s

I'm not into the 1911 but I do have my grandfather's old service pistol that is a complete hunk of junk now and is only a wall hanger it is just sentimental value for me.
