Yeah the third gens are pretty similar! What kind of bumpers did you put on?

Sweet! I looked at them, but I'm not sure I like the headlight hoops with a 3rd gen....

Also, I assume you have larger than stock tires....
Now... Were you able to recalibrate your speedometer/odometer to your new wheel sizes or not? Is that simply impossible? I have seen so many threads with not one real definite answer. That is what has turned me away from tires because I don't want to have to buy a scanguage to read my mph and mpg(which is clearly shown on my dashboard screen). I know it's not that big of a deal, it just is a turn off for me

All valid concerns. Eddy ar sos can make no hoop, center only hoop, or full hoop. He is in sc, local to us, we save on shipping if pick up. He makes great stuff.

Tires, i am only +1 size. Stock is 265/70/16, i am 265/75/16. You can go to this size without fear of any rub. Stock spedos read about 2-3 mph slow on the second gens, this larger tire brings it right back to even, at 65-70. Run a gps mph and see where yours reads. You will lose some mpg with the +1 tire, but they look so good lol.

alright thanks so much, I'll look into sos. You have been helpful. I already asked eddy a few days ago about placing the reciever hitch under the bumper like normal bumpers and he said that he could do that! He sounds like he is a flexible person. Could he do the install?

South Charlotte. It will have to be a few months before I can get anything rolling since it's a brand new truck etc... But I think I would need to upgrade my suspension beforehand and put a bigger size tire to make a front bumper look any good! I'm thinking about bilsteins 5100s but have not completely decided what to do.

Sounds good. One thing leads to another for sure. I did 5100s and 885 springs. About to go to 886 springs due to all the weight, am sagging. Front bumper, front skid, and sliders add about 300-350 lds, 886 are stiffer spring rate. If you havent, get with marie @HeadStrong Off-Road for suspension, great prices and great customer svc.

My first major mod will have to be a bed cap. I'm looking at a 100xr and will hopefully get that on early this summer! Then I can move on to bigger and better mods.

About the weight issue... When you are adding on skids, sliders, and bumpers all made of steel, do you still pay attention to the vehicles max payload? While you are upgrading to a tougher suspension, your brakes are not beefed up. So, when you have four people and all of your armor, you are most likely over your max payload...

Maybe Think about new leafpack in rear, (dakars, allpro, ) that cap will sag your rear most likely. Just know where you are weightwise, these things do ok with weight, but arent heavy haulers for sure.
