No I've had it for almost two years i think, it's subtle which is why I like it. Got it from a member on here, think he was out of Hawaii. EDIT: got them from @CBoy808

1/16" x 1.5" steel square tube, mitered, similar to yours. Do you recall what size bolts you used in the tracks on your camper shell?

1/4" Carriage bolts, I think they are 1" long but that is longer than they need to be. I wanted to use something a little beefier but that was that largest that would fit in the track. I want to lift my camper shell on and off by the rack, but I think it will be strong enough with 8 bolts.

Cool, thanks. I was hoping larger bolts would fit. I'm planning to attach an Alu Cab shadow awning to mine, so I may add more feet on that side. I ordered some 3/4" long carriage bolts, since only 1" is available locally.

Got my mounting feet cut and the grade five 3/4” bolts came in for the shell rack. Just need to drill and paint the feet.

And then build mounts for this thing...

It is carbon steel. I wanted a little more strength in the feet vs. aluminum.

That rust tho! :annoyed:I feel like my square tube feet are still the strongest part of my rack, even being aluminum.

I'm going to paint them, not worried about rust for a while. You are probably right about the strength, I'm just trying to beef it up where ever I can. That awning weighs 53 lbs. and is made to work without poles, it will place a lot of stress on the rack.

Nice, I've been thinking about an awning as well, what did you get?

Ah, that is badass. Let me know when you get it all mounted up, I want to come check it out. That 270 kind is what I like, I looked at one, I think it was called FoxWing(?) but thatAluCab looks solid.

I have wanted one for a long time. It is built really well, and takes literally one minute to set up and put away. If it is really windy, it takes longer to set the one pole and guy lines.
