I struggled through doing mine by myself with no prior knowledge. Its a full day with UCAs and leafpacks, or AAL

Many good vids and tutorials. watch them, note the tools / sizes mentioned, and make sure you have those sizes / tools

 

I wouldn't recommend anyone attempt Dakars by themself unless you regularly hit the gym.

 

agreed with that. I swapped out a HD pack solo not too long ago, not fun. took about 3 hours.

Yeah I did mine by myself, but I'm a certified Manlet.

 

If I had a shop do it, what should I expect time wise? One guy told me 7-8hrs to be safe.

 

Yeah you will need to leave it all day, may as well find a shop that does alignments too. As always, I recommend Lacy's.

I would imagine they do he’s got a bunch of old Toyotas around the shop pretty knowledgeable I don’t see why not be worth talking to him

 

Look man another way to get the help is become active in the community come to the meets go wheeling lend a hand when you can and others will pay it back.

if you really want to dive into it. id be happy to let you use my tools and do all the work with my advise if you get stuck. only crappy thing with doing it in a driveway is your committed until its done and regardless of weather.
