Start the drive June 1st. We aren’t looking forward to the humidity at all! We have lived in Colorado and Montana for the past 6 years and have gotten spoiled. I grew up in Florida so know all about that humid life.

What reason could you possible have to leave Bozeman!? That place is heaven!!
My parents live in Boise, planning to move there in 2023.

Californians... it’s just too expensive to live here, all the rich are moving to Bozeman. It’s $400-450k for a house that is 10ft away from your neighbors. With a 3 year old and 4 month old it will be nice to afford a house with a yard to play in and be closer to family. We might move back to Montana in 5 years when the kids can actually enjoy the mountains, but it won’t be Bozeman.

All good advice, but I've had two cars totalled in Charlotte that weren't my fault, rear ended in both. In both cases the police that came said specifically Charlotte police don't try to attribute fault, they simply assume everyone is telling the truth and write it down.

In my most recent wreck a kid plowed into the back of a Nissan frontier I had and totalled both cars. I was at a stop in a left turning lane. The kid said I pulled out to the right into his lane and that's why he hit me. I DID have a dash cam fortunately and even showed video to the policeman who came. It clearly showed me stopped waiting to turn when I was hit. Regardless, he wrote the report like the kid was truthful and put down I was in his lane and partially at fault.

Ultimately it didn't matter since I had the video and the kid apparently had no insurance. My insurance covered it as an uninsured motorist claim so my premiums didn't change or anything. Plus it's actually how I got my Taco and why I am here, so not all bad haha.

But yeah just wanted to point out you definitely shouldn't depend on the police being on your side in Charlotte. Video trumps all.

Exactly. Plus cops assuming everyone is telling the truth is kinda well ummmm not good for instances like you said. I've been in a couple where the other party blatently lied.

Yeah I got a dash cam after my mom got hit by a guy trying to pass a car that was stopped and going into the oncoming lane. He then tried to fight her or something and was banging on her car being crazy. She didn't have any video and he said she drove into him and she had to cover her own car with her own insurance. Dash cams are super good, super cheap and super easy to put in your car. Everyone should have them now. Honestly I feel like within the next ten years or so it's just going to be standard that new cars come with built in cams.

yup. I’ve got one on the windshield and the rear one records the cab (because Softopper and rear tire carrier render it useless for rear facing). I’ve got a bunch of close calls saved on video.
