Yeah, I am excited for a nice dry basement for gear storage and other things. Laundry is down there as well so need to make it more livable for the wife. Got these foam mats today from sams club. Probably going to buy 2 or 3 more sets. This is one set for $25.

nice. I have to go outside to access my basement. There is a hatch on our back porch that leads down to it. Major pain in the ass but whatever. It’s mostly just storage for shit we never ever use and really should sell or throw away.

One day when we finish remodeling the main level we want to turn the basement into a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment. It has a walkout door as well. The house has so much potential but there is so much work to do.

Be jealous of the laundry station! Aka the table that came with the house that i eventually want to refinish to sell or just throw away.

Pretty sure I’d be a 400 lb. alcoholic without mine. Totino’s pizza and a beer for breakfast? Sounds good to me. Looks at wife shaking head, grabs the egg whites and warms up the Keurig instead.

Been an interesting year of self discovery. However, I'm happier, and healthier, without her.

yup, total PITA. we are under contract, inspection is happening tomorrow. We already told them that we are not doing any repairs, agreed upon price reflects the few deficiencies we know about. If they come back wanting money for repairs, even the smallest amount, we are staying put. fukkem. :fingerscrossed:

We are under contract on the new house, did inspection last week and found minimal issues which was expected as it's less than a year old.

Have offer on our current house and sending counter this morning. They are buying without an agent and this house seems to be at the top of their budget so I am a little nervous, don't know how much sleep I'll get until we actually close.

Last house I bought, the mortgage company SOLD our loan off THE DAY BEFORE CLOSING... We had to push both closings back 2 weeks. I was livid...

nice, good luck, hope all works out well for ya. ours is at the top end of the buyers budget, so same idea.......every day brings new stresses

I want to put some sort of covert listening device in the house during the inspection to hear their angle on things....

My mom sent us this statue years ago when we were about to sell our first home, has been with us ever since, all has worked out for the best. we never buried him like it says to, but he is always around. not a religious post, just a good luck post

Do you like living in Highland Creek? We are considering either that or Skybrook to live...Poplar Trails is WR Odell Elementary, and doesn't have as stellar reviews as Cox Mill...

When we bought our house, we were under contract at the first of November...we didn't close until December 31

Our bank (BB&T) nitpicked EVERY single transaction on our bank statements over the previous 90 days and we ended up having to take our saving to pay off a small credit card just so they would approve it, but then that money was going towards the downpayment, so then they wouldn't approve it because we had to use that money towards the credit card...ended up having to get a "gift" from my parents...it was a total shit show and we almost said fuck it and walked away.
