Hell yea I caught half a fish taco

 

Awe what a cute little guy still a pomp none the less I've never caught one.

 

You can see I was pretty excited haha. I caught a lot this trip, it was awesome despite all the storms. I might go back late October or November and try to catch something bigger.

 

Ill be out end of october.

 

Yeah heck I get excited when I catch something fairly rare even if it's small. When we went I got a bass which was pretty crazy I hadn't caught one of them in the sound from our place in years. He was about 1/2 a taco as well.

 

nice, what area are you staying/fishing?

We stayed in a house on a canal, I’ve never seen so many fish jumping!

 

The mullet run is epic for sure.

 

You kayak fishing?

 

Well set base camp put of Topsail/Emerald Isle, but plan of fishing Corolla, Hatteras and Buxton. My girl has never been so were gonna do some driving and give her the tour.

 

That's a hell of a drive from Emerald isle area all the way up there every day. You setting up at one of the campgrounds on emerald isle there.

 

That’s some serious miles

 

Were gonna spend the first part of the week at some campgrounds up north then spend the remainder on topsail. We will not be traveling back and forth. Its about 225miles from Topsail to Corolla. We will start there, and work our way south.

Childhood dreams playing out. I always wanted a decent sized sportfish and just live aboard and travel and fish turn into a sheet of leather too.

I work in south end by the stadium, just lmk where to meet and when. I’m no good Wednesday or Friday this week after work. Will need to be tomorrow or Thursday.
