    Getting out of debt is not a priority for her like it is me. I don't like paying the amount of bills we do every month. Living paycheck to paycheck sucks ass.

    It's what I wanted to do, but we found a dream home so went ahead and bought. Value of this house won't really track with the market overall anyway so it's all good.

    totally get it.

    another problem is that we aren't 100% sure where we want to move next, so renting frees up some time to get it figured out. She is still leaning towards Denver area, but I'm leaning more towards Skybrook/Cox Mill school district area.

    Correct, it's in both our names. Everything is joint as far as the house and bank accounts. Cars are in our own names, and taxes get filed separately, that's about the only things that aren't shared.

    We were "getting married soon" when we signed everything, that's really the only reason why the bank agreed to it. That actually was the plan but then we had an "oops" two months after buying the house, and it never came to fruition.

    It's still planned to happen, maybe by end of 2021 :rofl:
