My old 99 camrys flex pipe rusted out and exploded and it looked like that 4runners underside when I climed under it for repair and said f that. I drove it like that for over a year because F car payments and it still worked. Went 10miles to a train station and back everyday. The car was free from a family member and I ended up selling it to a scrap yard for 250 bucks after ripping the seats out to put in my tacoma.

That 4runner is about average up north.
Here's a highlight reel of frame rust holes and repairs on my current truck:

I actually tore the driver side slider off the truck when the weld rusted and I was wedged against a tree and dropped off a ledge.

So what you are saying is now that you are in a nicer environment it's going to be time to set up in that nice new big garage of yours starting to make a new frame for your truck.

lift doesn’t help fit larger tires, it just pushes the tire downward...at semi to full compression is where you have clearance problems, lift or not. Your tire is going to sit in the same position at compression regardless.

Sure you can fit bigger tires as long as you stay on the street.

I did, and he ain’t wrong. Tire size and wheel offset also play a factor. Skinny’s often will clear no problem. Wider tires require more work.

I ran 285/75/16’s on my stock suspension for 38k miles, did minimal work to make them fit. Actually ended up more clearance issues once I lifted the truck, strangely enough.

Anyhow I digress. This is why I don’t go into the tech forums anymore.
