Seems like everyone likes the regular Eibach's, so the coilovers should be a step up. Plus I only want to lift 1.5" up front, and adjust for lean, so coilovers were a no brainer. I didn't pay too much more for them - decent mark up on the Eibach stuff from the major vendors.

It'll take longer than that, but should go pretty smooth, especially working on a newer truck.

I can get the front strut in/out in about 10-15mins if the upper ball joint cooperates. It's not difficult at all if you are mechanically inclined.

Also, I break the upper ball joint loose and go in that way, I don't fuss around with the lower.

Yup, never had much luck with balljoints on any other cars, I'm sure they will fight me on this truck. I have many more hammers now than I used to have though.

That's not what you see here. Old shock sleeve seized on the bolt.

Which is inside the bushing, which is inside the looped end of the spring, which is sitting inside the perch that you have your grinder to? Is that what I'm not seeing? :D

Hasn't @McRib come over and taught ya how to swing your BFH yet?? :militarypress:

I'm only razzing a guy that has a grinder to his truck. It's an appropriate time, no?

I'll say this, that front long bolt for the UCA will go in REALLLL nice if it ever has to come out again. Scuba mask FTW

Why not just bend the sheet metal with a big pair of channel locks? Mine had to only be bent a couple mm's...the bolts were very close to coming out without any bending of the inner fender.

I mean, I did do that. It just wasn't going. mm's were not going to give me the clearance needed for the bolt head, let alone all the travel it needed to come forward. Not sure why it works for some and not for others. I prolly stoopid

I took my whole fender, inner fender, alternator and manifold off. Was an easy install
