    I would assume there are restrictions on how small a house can be. Probably some sort of covenant there.

    Nope. There is a neighborhood we drive through that is called The Sanctuary that has all kinds of restrictions but we are not technically part of it out on the point. Unincorporated County even. We do have City water but no sewer or trash.

    Do you have school aged kids? if not, that opens up a lot of areas as to not have to worry about school district. :thumbsup:

    We like the Charlotte area, moved here in 2005 when our son was 2, its been a good place to raise the family

    That should give you a lot of options in most areas of Charlotte. You mentioned Lake Wylie, if you mean the town of LW, in SC, I would caution you on being on that side of the lake if you have to commute to Charlotte. Only a couple of bridges across.

    yeah i remembered this from when I lived at the Village at Lake Wylie apartments 19 yrs ago.... damn I cant believe its been that long now and the ice storm 2002!

    Yep, that's prob less than a mile from me as the crow flies, but 17 min drive (with no traffic) because you have to go on Buster Boyd bridge. Backs up for miles during rush hour.
