I have a bunch of projects going too, that I need to fix.

Tub still needs to get refinished somehow
Big patch of drywall in the garage needs to get fixed
Side entrance door to the garage needs replacing, had to kick it in on the very first night we moved into our house...got locked out
Yard looks like shit - need to get someone that knows a thing or two about growing (green) grass to come fix it
Bushes look like shit - need trimming and a bunch of boxwoods need dug up and new one put in
Back patio needs refinishing again (bi-yearly)
Misc small shit needs replacing or touching up in almost every room

working on getting the new place ready to move in to,

Over the past couple weeks I have painted the garage, installed a new garage door opener, replaced 4 sets of drawer slides in my toolbox, installed 3 new thermostats, 9 light fixtures, 2 ceiling fans, 4 toilets, 4 torn window screens, 2 bathtub diverters, new shower heads, moved some shit over to the new place, coordinated new flooring and new HVAC system, that's all I can think of right now.......starting to move some larger things this weekend, to be done by 3/31

Sounds like my list. What’s the best type of grass? I am thinking zoysia but I have no clue. No green thumb here.

long story short, fixing usually involves seeding grass. Seeding cool season grass (fescue) in the spring is a recipe for failure. Soil temps aren’t warm enough to have fast germination. By the time the grass grows, the roots aren’t deep and mature enough and then the heat of summer gets here quickly killing the new grass. Proper plan is to do seeding in the mid September time frame, soil temps are warm but mid day temps aren’t terrible. Grass will sprout in a week or so, ready for first cut in a month, and you’re off to the races. It’s a lot of research like anything else, and takes some patience. I’ll text you pics of my lawn tmw.

Ive got bermuda and just put down crabgrass preventer but Ive got this green stuff that looks like fescue sprouting up everywhere (so do all my neighbors). I hesitate to kill it because it looks like grass and its green, but will put some weed killer on the lawn after all this rain blows through.

I’ll just spray paint it green like the previous owners did to a dead bush by the porch stairs...and that’s no joke.

Man, between this post the those that followed, I felt a little better about my life this last year. I'm doing my best to keep my head above water since August. I've got to hold on for a few more weeks and then work will ease up a bit. Of course that means I can get started on house projects.
