I also have questions @JimboAnz Makes sense that you may want to get back into a smaller truck, those rams are huge, and I certainly understand not wanting a 3rd Gen, but why not find a clean second gen? Wanted more tech or what?

So, the ram had almost 100K, and that is the magic number for taking a huge hit on trade value. It ended up being worth more than I had thought which helped everything. The ram needed tires, brakes, and a dam inspection with dark windows :rofl:it was time to go. I went in to talk, and left with a truck.

I did want more tech, and am not fond of the turdgeons. with the amount of driving I do, the tech was important to me. This one is a 2020 dealer demo, had 2000 miles on it, xlt, loaded, at a good price. MPG's are important to me, and I feel like this engine will do what I want, 2.3 ecoboost. I hope the longevity is there, time will tell. So far I am getting 24/25 mpg, to early to tell how it will settle in.

I love being in a smaller truck again, the ram was comfy, but it was a PITA sometimes getting around town, parking, etc.

I like the new rangers, I tried convincing my Dad to get one to flat-tow behind his RV. He may get one eventually.

You knew subconsciously that you were going to walk out with a new truck, if you were motivated enough to go look at one.

I love those ecoboost engines. Haven't really heard any thing bad about the Rangers other than shitty sales numbers.

That ecoboost has been in them overseas for a while so that's good.

Buddy of mine got a '21 Chevy 1500 with the new mini duramax he's getting 32 on the hwy avg cruising 65-70. It's crazy how fuel efficient these trucks are getting!

Weekend project, get this old well pump running so I can eventually run the irrigation system from the well instead of city water.
