Yep, i read a few reviews that would prob keep me from buying from them. But all the reviews from people selling were much better.

I change my fluids and have done break jobs in the past but that's about the extent of my mechanical abilities, so I would say you are accurate in that assessment. I've checked out a ton of videos and don't think it looks impossible it just worries me if I run into any issues where I couldn't get a bolt undone or something doesn't quite fit and would need additional tools to get done. I want to learn how to do more, I'm just not 100% confident in my abilities and I'm worried I'll screw something up royally. It also looks like it's 100% easier when it's high on a lift versus in my garage on jack stands.

I don't have the kit yet so I don't have an exact timeline but if you're serious about being able to assist I'd love to chat more.

That was about the extent of my knowledge on vehicle maintenance when I started tinkering on this truck. Installing a lift is not as intimidating as it sounds. I watched a lot of YouTube videos, made sure I had the required tools, a good jack and stands. I took a week off work to make sure if I donked something up I had time to correct it and didn’t have to rush through anything. I was able to change leaf springs, rear shocks, front coilovers and upper control arms. Worst part was getting the old ball joint out of the spindle but you may not even be planning on changing UCAs. I know it needed an alignment pretty bad when I finished. You decide to do it and have questions just post them in this or the SC BS thread, I’m sure plenty of people will be happy to walk you through anything you get stuck on.

I get the same basic thing every time and it works, but to your point, if it wasn’t on the water I’d skip it.
