I was thru hurricanes all the way back to Andrew. Worked cat duty for insurance companies out of trailers where we had no running water or power. Been thru times we would bbq’d every day when there was no power for a week in our neighborhood. Boiled water on a smoker (which tasted terrible). We shared generators and extension cords. No one at gas stations was filling 10 cans with others in line waiting 1/2 mile back, unless commercial or assisting in aid.

Anyway, I am not about going back and forth about crap like this. The promotion of violence was a bit of a dramatic embellishment to point out the issue of people hoarding I was going for.

Back to Tacoma related business.

Still $2.61 in High Point today. My guess is $2.89 by the end of the week. Was gonna go up for labor day traveling anyways.

 

Damn I wish we had those prices in Burlington.

 

Yeah I drove to the coast this weekend and High Point was definitely the cheapest anywhere. Hell 10 miles up the road in Greensboro its $2.99.

Need some context of what this guy does?

I could post pictures of fuel bills for jets taking 5,000 gallons of fuel at $8 bucks a gallon for everyone to shed tears, meanwhile they are getting chartered out for thousands an hour.....

I guess my point is you pay a temporarily inflated price due to high transport costs, or you pay a temporary inflated price, if you can even get your stuff, due to artificially held down fuel prices that lead to a shortage.

 

Got gas this morning without any drama and it’s $.12/gal cheaper than it has been

 

Boat rentals, with fuel included. His rates are based on a certain fuel price $X. If you allow that price to triple like in your scenario, he would probably be better off just not renting any boats this week or Labor Day weekend. Again, this is all just for the sake of argument. I'd like to reiterate I don't like the government's fingers in private business.
