Yes. Not a bad location if you only have the factory stuff plate to remove. But with my RCI plates, I use a piece of rain gutter to direct the oil flow to the side.

Got an “Igloo Overland” cooler yesterday. Supposed to compete with Rtic and Yeti for way less money.

    Overlanding bro.

I don't think any of my coolers are "overland" rated.

    Gotta step my game up.

If the name isn't terrible enough, I had to go to Walmart of all places to buy one.

I wish I could afford a gucci Dometic setup like @SearArtist

I just use the Lowe's app, tells me exactly where everything is. Except one time they were rearranging stuff and I needed wood shims. I gave the pink haired guy the benefit of the doubt and asked him where they were. He didn't even know WHAT they were, EVEN AFTER SHOWING HIM A PICTURE. He asked his blue haired co-worker, still no idea. Had to go ask the older lady working the lumber cash register. Of course she knew exactly where they were.

Years ago, I went in needing to buy a water wrench. I found the old guy working first to ask him.

I backed the truck over my RTIC 45 the first weekend I had it. Was at Carolina Beach so it just mashed it into the sand. #OLAF

I'm sure the better coolers are worth the money if you use it a lot. 3x a summer max for me. Some of the last few cheap ones I bought I swear lose their insulation ability within a year. I have some other Igloo coolers that can't keep ice for a day. POS.

I bought mine when RTIC was a little cheaper too. Son of a bitch gets heavy when you load it up though.

I bought a cheap igloo something or other because it had wheels and a handle. Then drilled a hole in the lid and body. Filled it with expanding foam. Works well for what I need it for.

I bought a RTIC 65 back in the day when they were cheaper. Wish I would have bought a 45 now as well.

I have a Grizzly 60 and 20. And an Ozark 25 that I caught on close out for something stupid like $15.

The grizzly is a great cooler. Holds ice great but they do get heavy. The Ozark isn't a bad unit either. There all roto's so weight is always a problem.

I’m assuming all hard coolers are heavy af with ice

same, got a 65 yeti. Good for a 3 day camping trip and out on the boat, but over kill for 1 night trips imo. Kinda want a 20 or 30

also might switch over to Pelican

I also have an older model Yeti 25 for day trips. :anonymous:

I had a Yeti 45 at one point, but forgot what happened to it.

I have a couple of the Lifetime coolers that are in competition with the big names. They do really well. ALL cooler companies you gotta look at the fine print to see the details for their days they keep ice. They pre-chill the coolers first and reccomend doing that prior to packing them. I have started bringing mine in from the garage a few days before a trip and then start just loading it with ice from my fridge's ice maker. When it comes time to load it I'll dump some of the ice water not all then load it and fill with ice. The slushy ice water is a trick we use out fishing it chills the fish faster and keeps them cold.

I think the issue really is that not only would no shop around here do a frame replacement, but supply chain is so dodgy it would have taken months to get right. In anyway case, the new 2022 will be here the 19th.

    Hey group,

Off the wall question for audio folks. Anyone in Charlotte area have a distortion detector to rent out for a few days? I installed Hertz Mille Pro all around with Alpine amp but cannot get it tuned in perfectly. The alpine is way powerful.

    Thanks in advance.
