1. These are now PATENT PENDING!

2. I had the opportunity to install a set of Bed Tie-Down Anchors on a Tacoma and wanted to test the torque required. The correct torque range for an M8 bolt into steel threads is 15-25 lb/ft, so I started at 15, then 20, then 25 lb/ft. I felt 25 lb/ft was too much for the Tacoma’s plastic bed, and I don’t want people breaking their trucks installing my parts. I have revised the engraving to read “Torque to 20 lb/ft” in case anyone is actually getting out the torque wrench when they install these. For current customers - please torque your Tie-Downs to 20lb/ft not 25!

3. I’ve held out as long as possible, but my machinist is battling rising material costs and we finally had to bump up the price. I kept the increase as modest as possible, so these are now $89/pair. I hope that’s not too much to make somebody who wants them for their truck to not purchase them. In the end, this has to be a sustainable venture for myself, and the parties involved in manufacturing, or else it’s simply not worth doing anymore. I’ll continue the 10% off a second pair discount. I’ll also refund the difference from the original price for any forum customers who purchase from my remaining stock before the price increase, just shoot me a message to let me know you ordered. I have black and red left from this batch.

Oh, and I used a torque wrench and also noticed that 25 felt tight.
