There is a chattering/clicking noise coming from under the hood with the occasional squeak that I can't seem to pinpoint. I changed the drive belts a few weeks ago but it has only started making the noise recently. They definitely don't feel too loose, is it possible they are overtightened? Any other suggestions?

    Thanks

Check out my thread regarding this noise and see if it's similar to your sound in my videos I posted.

I just updated it today as my water pump just went out on me so I guess it was that all along. I put it off for far too long and I paid the price. Had to get pulled home. But it could also be your fan pulley bracket. I thought that was it until I removed the belts one at a time and the noise still remained so I had assumed it was either water pump or timing belt pulleys. But yeah to check to see if it's external or internal, you should take each belt off one at a time, run it in between for a few seconds, and see if the noise goes away. If all belts are off then it's going to be internal. Most likely your water pump. And if that goes out, you're done.

I noticed immediately there was a problem as it started bogging down out of nowhere and ran like shit so I pulled over immediately to find coolant pouring out:( I guess it locked up. Didn't even notice it leaking until today, then on the way home it went. And it was shrieking pretty bad occasionally so I knew I had to get the kit ordered up right away which ironically enough I was going to order it today. Not soon enough though. Shouldn't take long to get here to az from cali. I'll be tackling this as soon as it comes in.
