Alright smarty pants. Because that's the wording the seller used in their message back to me about where the winch access was.

You don't believe me, holler at em. Don't shoot the messenger and unwad your panties, my momma always said.

Seen some add metal and frame braces, some not. What's the consensus? I like to high center often and will use the bumper to winch. It will also get used to push over fallen trees and rocks.

All you can do is straighten the flat plate with the 3 bolts. Braces will not work for this Bumper

I got the bumper mounted last night. Used a ratchet strap to squeeze together the lower section where it mounts where the sway bar once lived, instead of egging the holes.

The 2 lower and outer mount points have no hardware in them. One side seems to use where the factory recovery point was (which won't work because the welded nut inside the rad cross support have broken) and the other side uses one of the end caps. Correct?

Where are you folks stacking washers again?

The actual bumper itself went onto the 6 studs easy as pie. Win right there! But...

The outer sides hardly align at all between the 2 pieces. Got the inner most holes on each side to align and got one bolt in. Next hole is out at least 1/4", and progressively worse from there. Up to, I'd guess, 1-1/4" to the last holes at the face of the bumper sides.

Need some assistance and pointers please. Will revisit tonight when I get back home and try to get better alignment. It won't be perfect and I don't expect it for less than half the price of ANY competitor.

FWIW, I mounted the lower section first.

Forgot to add. I have a SOS ifs skid, and this bumper does cover the front 2 mounting bolts, so it will be notched for that.

Must mount upper first...then do the side bolts (leave loose)....then do sway bar bolts

I cut both crossmember pieces and slid them back in

Shouldn’t have to do that. There are two holes in the Bumper for those two bolts.

I cut the two “wings” and slid them back in

I have a Pelfreybilt skid and it’s the same exact design lol.

You slip the skid between the cross member and the Bumper and the bolts go through the holes in the Bumper

The rci skid is tougher than this. I have to take out the top part to lower part bolts just to remove my RCI ifs skid it sucks balls because it curves up above the front crossmember. But yah dirty deeds do the main part first, we were stacking washers to try and adjust left to right and foreward and backward angling of the bumper in regards to under the front fascia. If it looks good then no need!

I did washers to get the angle at the fenders straight.

Probably puts more stress on the plates though lol

As it sits right now, passenger side needs to come out a hair. It's riding high too, but that's because I put it on backerds :anonymous: may or may not be touching the flares just a hair.
