To those of you who have bought and installed these, what does it do with the factory recovery point? Does it cover it/remove it?

Remove the tow hook, it retains that little loop on the drivers side though has a cut out for it.

So I suppose they expect us to use the front d ring mounts on the bumper for recovery? Since the other loop on the driver’s side is for tie downs only?

Just asking as I get worried over those videos of people pulling on their bumper and the whole thing ripping off.

Yes the d-rings on the bumper or thru use of winch. Ive never tried the rings but have used my winch to recover few people stuck an zero issues.

That’s because people are idiots and don’t know proper recovery techniques.

For the deer and maybe once a year recovery/pulling I think it’ll be great for me. Ordered one plus the eBay pro style grill and Tacoma beast headlights. Ready to see how it all looks

We’ll go figure I had an issue with the knock off bumper. I only received half a bumper and no hardware. I’ve sent the seller a message so we’ll see what happens. He seemed to correct the first orders pretty well.

They will definitely fix the issue.

They have some of the best customer service I have seen.

I wouldn’t worry, I ordered front and rear after an accident and didn’t cut the wrap off of the shipping pallet for several months because of other projects.

I was missing the lower part of the front bumper and they still took care of me!

The modular bumper design has turned me off of this bumper. I want solid. The manufacturer banged the dog on this one. :luvya:

6E26A5B1-6F18-403D-98C7-F6555371A6CF.jpg I’m just curious. Has anyone else’s come in with the side pieces needing to be bolted on. All the pictures and post I read made it look one piece.

That’s the new design. I don’t like it. Mine was 2 pieces total.

I don’t mind the 2 piece design, but the new design is a little ridiculous..

Mine was solid on the top half, Recently they went to the modular design I believe a few pages back someone else had that surprise.

Apparently so. I’m ok with that personally. I think I’d prefer it without

Is it me or or does all pros bumper look almost exactly like this? It’s a shame a big company like that needs to copy a small time fabricator trying to make a buck:rolleyes:
