Dont have the equipment to make my own. But I guess I could sell the factory hitch to compensate buying a new one.

Any idea why the factory hitch won't work? I have access to a welder but I'd rather keep the factory hitch since I know it works. My rear bumper is looking a bit ghetto these days (I dented it then I got bumped in a parking lot) and while I really want a CBI, the Chinese import is more in line with my budget right now.

I don't know, I just took the word of the forum that it wouldn't work, but I also just wanted it up higher for the bike rack. If you've got the time im sure you could just cut and reweld the stock to fit, I looked at it, I just didn't have the time or access to my buddy's old shop. Id love a real bumper as well but kids and bills and life said No!

This is the DV8 bumper, just in a few pieces now for 250$ less, so basically you pay that 250$ towards shipping and two lights.

Probably just another rebranded Chinese winch. I'd never heard of them and couldn't even find a review when I googled it, just for the Mickey Thompson tires. For that kind of money you can get a brand that at least has some support in the US.

Hey, I went with the "Boar offroad" 13,000 winch from Amazon, obviously a chinese rebranded winch like all the rest besides Warn. I got it on sale for $299 I've used it a couple times this winter pulled a friend "4runner" out of a ditch and just messing around pulled myself up a muddy snowy hill. Seems fine, slow I guess, but strong, fairly simple piece of equipment. Just my 2 cents, I'm far from Real, more pavement than rock crawler.

So original post says it won't fit the 2012-2015 however eBay says it will. Anyone with a 2.5 gen put this on successfully. I don't mind doing a little grinding. I don't do much wheeling as I'm in Cali but my bumper keeps getting hit where I live. Thanks

I think they made some changes to the bumper so it will fit later model Tacoma's better. My truck is a 14 and I had no issues installing it.

It's like to see if that's how all the new ones look or if some people are still getting the old ones

I was thinking the same thing, It’s a good place to start if you want to build a semi custom Bumper! You’ll get all the parts pre bent and you can add or subtract what you want, hoops etc.
