Yes, and yes. Mine, being a 2014 and 4 banger w/o tow package/trans cooler, I didn't notch anything. Like others, I did have to remove the front bent sheet metal grille support only to get the winch in. I don't really like it aesthetically because it kinda gaps the bumper at the grille and headlights.

NOTE: After some winching and recovery jerking after my recent outing, and general tomfuckery in the woods, the bumper or maybe body panels  have moved. I really drove the shit outta my truck that weekend.

Same. I ripped a bush out of the yard doing some landscaping and made the bumper sit crooked, more nose down. I’ve been too lazy to fix it because if I take it off, it means I’m getting a new ARB put on as a replacement.

Mine was super bent too. The mounts were trashed. No issue now with my new replacement though

That's what mine is. XRC 9500. Control box sitting over the motor housing.
I've looked at it a few times and pondered if I could fenangle the grille brace back in. Haven't had enough garage beers to decide I'm ready for that.

You won’t here’s a video from last year I’m winching out a Lexus that broke down in the worst spot. In a mud hole with a hill in front of him. I wasn’t prepared that day with all my recovery gear but had folks standing in the bed, e-brake on, and someone stepping on the brakes to get him out to be towed. Bumper handled like a champ.
It was pulling my truck down hill at first.

Also as you can see here I still have that brace in place. I removed grill removed it and bent the center mount 90 degrees and slid winch in, bent it back and bolted brace on super easy.

You can keep the support with a 12-15 but you most likely will NOT be able to on a 05-11

Yes it’s the bamf support. Unfortunately no supports work with this bumper.

No manufactured supports work with this bumper. ;)

I've been mulling the idea of making something to strengthen it. Or just buy/DIY kit a better bumper lol
