I don't know much about powder coating but for the price could you just redo it?

For the front sure. But the rear is pretty on par with the legit Allpro rear bumper price, so not much savings there.

Just to throw in my 2 pennies. I work in construction and do structural framing. Our steel stud provider was getting their supply from China. But there are tariffs going on jacking up all the prices so we are having to use other places to get it. You can read a little about it here. Im sure bumper makers over here are now having to pay more for steel which will make them more expensive for us and cheaper for the china ones. As for the bumpers, I hope it all works out because Im in the market for some armor as well.

My employer buys steel stuff from China all the time, the facts are the facts - price rules a lot of common items. We have some sources there that are really good - and the turd outfits get pitched on the first go-round. The good stuff is pretty much "old school" - often stamped, bent, welded, ground and machined by processes North Americans don't use here anymore (too labor intensive). And ..... often made on original US / Canadian tooling they bought as surplus. Those are just our rules - other companies may not be so hard-nosed about it

Our best supplier never sends us any assembled or loose hardware with threads on it - he knows we won't trust it - and he doesn't either. Too many counterfeiters in the far east - even the Chinese are wary. I have some Chinese parts on my Taco - and anything that requires real strength has known quantity fasteners. Otherwise - in the bin......

Mild steel is mild steel (36,000 yield strength) - we get it from all over (eastern Europe, Africa and Asia both) and the metallurgy is OK. Precut - pre-bent parts have to come from a good accurate source or they won't work. We get samples shipped in to prove the process, if the subsequent parts don't measure up - they go on the turd list. This "looks like" a decent job of building a useful part - lets hope they don't go on the turd list.....
