I was following you last night and was wondering why your high center brake light and back up lights was blinking at the same rate as your wipers!

It involves a little more tear down than i think is necessary but if anyone wants to do it and make a proper how to thread that can be stickied feel free and I'll delete this post.

This is from the stand point of a 6 speed. Of Course-----DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK

    1) First you have to open the center console. Remove the bottom, it prys right up. There will be 2 10mm bolts to remove in the bottom.

    2) Remove the cup holder (pry it up with a small screwdriver.

    3) Unscrew the 4 black philips head screws that were hidden under the cupholder. Now you can slide the center console back. It should unattach from the front half of the center console.

    4) Remove the shift knob.

    5) Slide the front half of the center console back it will slide straight back and out of the way.

    6) Remove the cover under the E-Brake handle.

    7) Remove the glovebox.

    8) Remove the two plastic screws above the gauge cluster. Pull the gauge cluster out on the right side (by the stereo).

    9) Take a small flat head and remove the A/C Heater contols. Disconnect the cables from the back.

    10) Remove the 4 10mm bolts under the stereo and pull the stereo out. (remove the cables.

    11) Pull the piece surrounding the stereo out. You will have to finagle it out from under the gauge cluster piece.

    12) Under the right side cigarette lighter there is a 10mm bolt. Remove it. Now you can pull the lower facia of the dash (the piece that holds the cigarette lighers out enough to get you had back behind it and remove the cable from the TPMS ECU.

This pic shows everything to this point. Sorry, I didn't take pics along the way.
    DSC00086_5260c04c2ad1406f6f85e0e48d73d9c15d035b4a.jpg

This pic is the small hole that is behind the heater controls. You can look down through it and see the TPMS ECU. The plug plugs into the bottom of it.
    DSC00087_40cef9452dbeb832d5b9551c871cd436715e2e45.jpg

Now that the cable is unplugged, You can put it all back together except the glove box.

    13) In the top upper right corner of the glovebox area is a white connector on the outside of a wire lomb. The blue wire (pin4) is the Indicator wire for the TPMS LED.

    14) I took speaker wire and striped it and wound it really tight. I shoved the wire into the back of the connector (blue wire pin4), and taped it in place.

    15) Find a ground point and ground the other side of the wire to ground. This biases the LED so that is will not turn on.

Here is a pic. I grounded it to the bolt that holds the bracket for the passanger kick panel.

If you install a converter in the cab (or in a sealed box in the bed) and run wire to an outlet yes. Maybe if you find/order the factory outlet you could do that, or install your own outlet/box somewhere. The factory route is too much of a pain. I don't know if you can order the factory inverter, and it's tied into too many other systems to deal with (and that limit it's usefulness anyway).

Very easy way to make the military d-rings quiet. Super simple. Cut a piece of vacuum line (cut half way through) and put it through the d-ring and the mount. Keep cutting pieces and putting them through till you get the ring as tight as you'd like it.

I've seen lots of people doing the anytime fogs. I like the idea but didn't want the fogs on with just the ignition. So here is a way to wire them so they come on with your parking lights.

First (just like the other way) bend the tab and connet a wire to the relay.
    IMG_20100722_155531_7ccb11ee2bd5beb6c3ef1c3caf0f58b26ef54a79.jpg

Run the wire through the firewall main harness gromet.
    IMG_20100722_155508_a8a7bb1d3255c1f7fa67c9e624ef45e4d11bf6d2.jpg

it will connect to a empty spot on the fusebox and here is the connector to use
    IMG_20100722_155240_65abd9a1a47fd0ac89eefc897e9a6a555e8c8789.jpg

here is where it connects too that is only "hot" with the parking light on

This Mod allows you to hook up your radar detector into your map light assembly so when you turn your truck on it automatically turns the detector on. It frees up one of the 12v outlets for other things and gets rid of the unsightly wires. I did this on my 05 TRD Sport. It's different on models with back-up cam but DOERanger should post his mod which is the same but works on his 2010 TRD Sport.
    1. Take off Map light assembly and unplug wiring harnesses.
    2. Locate 2 wires running to the rearview mirror.
    3. Snip 12v plug off of radar cord.
    4. Strip 1/4" if both wires on cord.
    5. Determine (trial/error) which wire is the hot wire in the cord.
since all detectors are different this will vary.
    6. Add alligator clip to ground wire or ground with screw.
    7. use a quick connector clip to splice together hot wire on cord to the black
wire going down to the mirror. This wire is only hot when ignition is on.
therefore this will not drain your battery
    8. Use sandpaper and sand a small place on the metal where you want to clip
the alligator clip(there's a coating in it that will not allow the alligator clip
    to ground)
    9. clip alligator clip on newly sanded area.
    10. Turn truck on and should turn radar on at the same time.
    11. Run wire to radar near rearview mirror or over the headliner, down the
post and accross the dash to location you want radar to be.
    12. reattach map light assembly in reverse order

P.S. Troubleshooting. Make sure the right wire on the cord to the radar is the hot one, you may have them reversed. Make sure you sand the area good enough. Make sure radar's on switch is on.

**Mistake** In pic the quick splice is on the white wire and should be on the black. Wrong color. My Trial and Error. Use BLACK. Sorry last pic is at night. I forgot to take finished product pic in daylight, But wire runs under the plastic sheath where rearview mirror wires run into the maplight housing.

    Have fun speeding!!!

No Mudflaps, Fog lights on all the time, Map light/Dome light mod, Door sill protectors, In-channel window guards, Re-badged and sock-monkeyed,many more to come.
Another tip for all of you. BadBrad has an '05 without the rear view camera package. I have a '10 with camera and my wire was green, the only green wire up there.

Thanks for that post.. I got a great deal on my 2008 Tacoma back in 2008 and almost didn't buy it because of no wiper delay. That upgrade was cheap and simple. I can enjoy driving in the rain again.
