Do you mean tint it and make it flat or just make it flat as is?
As I understand your question you can just buy a can of matte clear coat and do the black out the taillight mod.

I too, have only seen a mod for smoking out the lens with a spray-paint like products which you then cover with crystal clear coat and some polishing with wax. Looks good though. But just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean you won't be able to do it, but it does mean you might be the first to do it! After doing my headlights, my buddy (who helped me) blacked out his ATV's headlights and apparently no one on his ATV forum had ever seen it done. Don't be too afraid to try something new, just do lots of thinking and planning to make sure to get it right!

very simple and easy. All i did was print out a emplem and adjusted it to size on the computer then i cut it out with a razor blade and sticky tacked them to the light. Bought a can of night shades and sprayed on a couple of coats and then let dry. Once it was dry i took of the letters and clear coated it.

depending on how long ago you painted them let the sun fade them a little bit and then do it. thats what i did and the TRD still comes out fine and is very noticeable at night.

As the OP of the idea probably did, I would apply a hockey stick wax or sex wax to cut out logo from regular paper. This will allow the paper logo to stick long enough with out moving to paint over and simple dish soap & water will dissolve the wax without residue.

It's hard to get a direct shot of the headlight with the bumper in the way, so here's a side shot:

That is sweet. My wife is bugged by the chime. She tells me in on breath what a bad driver I am then in the next how she wishes the seatbelt chime were off.

Does this work for the passenger one too?????? I always have a tool bag on my passenger seat and it's the most annoying thing to hear that chime all the time. And god forbid I stop and back up and then move forward again, it starts all over again. MAKE IT STOP!!!!!:goingcrazy:

My truck must have come with the noise already turned off cuz I have never had it go off on me, I just get the blinking red light telling me I'm "not safe." My parents have a 2010 Silverado and it's annoying as hell with all it's alarms going off for any and all reasons! I guess I just got lucky
