Anything special to black those out? Tools for removing them? Just curious about the process you chose and how it went. Thanks

Plasti dip was what I did. Was way easy. Used a toothpick to peel out the inside of the letters. I did remove the front emblem before dip because that was easier than doing a bunch of intricate taping.

This looks sweet. How did you paint the center console, did you take it out first, and if so how did you manage that?

Yes, did take it out. First, screw off the shift knob. Then, take out the "catch all" under the lighter/aux/usb/whatever in front of the shifter console. With that removed you can now get your fingers under the part. On each side (drivers & passengers) there are clips that you can push up gently from. Once you have those two, you are golden. :D
Take it out and paint away.

It just peels right off without any trouble. Use a toothpick for the middle of the letters. Poke it in there and twist it. It will all just pull right out. Seriously, this is such an easy mod.
