Well... im.about 20 pages of that and a shit load of open tabs in... and my wife is about to kill me.

I think it's decided... ultimately I'll go with the eibachs and a 1.5" block. I'll see of I can find that kit too and get it just in case. Not sure if I'll need it or not on the 2wd though.

And a nice aggressive 265/70/17 to go underneath!

The only other thing which will happen before all of that though... tune. I'm going to the dealership Saturday about the tsb 0077-16. But I saw another old thread about a 0092-20... not sure what exactly I need... or is the 92-20 just the newest update? Idk much about all that.

Also I'd like to do something about the throttle response... I keep seeing mixed things like some say the tsb fixes that. Whole others say go ov... or power commander/sprint booster etc.

Any insight on that stuff? And thank you for your help!

Funny you mention a tune, im hooking up with a buddy tomorrow afternoon to get the KDMax tune installed. Worlds better than any throttle controller from what i understand.

Dont know much about the TSB updates. My 2016 seems to drive ok for my driving style. Not sure what factory flash update it has...ive never really worried about it to be honest.

I try my best not to chase ghost with this truck, ive learned alot from the forums over the years, but most of the problems we have with these trucks are self enduced wether its mechanical or psychological.

Read about it enough and youll convince yourself you do or dont have a problem. :anonymous:

Oh man more to research! Yeah I'm not very into the idea of the whole plug and play controller after reading up on them.

I agree mine also drives ok... but there is a large amount of throttle delay and weird gear switching that I've noticed. Also a major park to drive delay and a funky kind of jump when I go to drive shortly after firing the truck up. I fully agree about the chasing ghosts thing though.

The very little I've seen about KD though is that it's the best over everything else. I'm off to do a little more investigation. Update me after you've got it?

How wide wheel spacers do you recommend? This is for a friend's SR DC Pre-Runner 4-cylinder.

I found that it’s really important to build your lift according to your weight. I put 700lb springs on bilstein 6112’s on top perch, with an expedition leaf pack swap out in the rear. This leveled it out perfect with a shell on it, but I’m going to shell my ARE shell so I took it off to go get a new shell and it road totally rough without it on for the 100 miles. Put the new shel on and it’s back to riding smooth again. Hard to believe that a couple hundred pounds would make a difference, but it does. Now I have 2 shells for the moment. Gotta move one to make room for some other mods I’m wanting. So really, high dollar lifts can ride rough just like cheap lifts can. So think about what you’re wanting long term and buy once.

I love the 6112’s with 700lb springs. It rides like a truck now with no pitch and roll like the factory off road suspension does.

Bilstein 5100's are impressing the hell out of me, and they're cheap! Designed to be used with the stock springs. I spent about $650 on shocks and 1" blocks for the rear, couldn't be happier and really glad I didn't go with the 6112's or anything else. Great ride. 100% recommend.
