    Hey guys.

I got a new position with my company which will require a lot of traveling out to clients and remote sites. Instead of taking the train to work, I will need to drive in more now and possibly drive long distances for work. My work comps us for each mile we drive for business, so it's not like it's coming out of my pocket, but I dont want to put that kind of wear and tear on my desert rig, so im in the market for a cheap DD with good gas mileage. I want to take advantage of cheap 0% financing and factory warranties from buying new, so I've narrowed me selection down to two. My aim is under $15,000 new. It need to get over 30 mpg hwy, and needs to be stick shift to keep me sane.

Option A: Nissan Versa. I found a few new for under $11K with 0% APR financing for 3 years. 27mpg City/36mph Hwy.

Option B: Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. I found one for just under $15K. No idea about financing yet, but I probably can get a good deal. More space and style than the Versa. Gets 24 City, 30 Hwy.

Any suggestions or other alternatives I should consider? Thanks!

I just bought a 2011 Corolla for $13,900 and it averages about 36 Mpg on the highway

Versa is okay, but I would look at Honda Civic or Fit, or Corolla. I don't know what they have for deals though, but their built quality and reliability might make up for a little more interest paid if they don't have 0%.

I see how honda and toyota would be better quality than versa, thats why buying a new versa with factory warranty for $11K is so appealing because i dont have to worry about paying out of pocket for repairs like i would with a used car.

Is a Hyundai Elantra under $15k?

It's got a 100k powertrain warranty, so all those miles will be covered. When the warranty is up, trade it for another and start again.....

I'm in the same boat, got a new job, drive 55mins to work. I have a 10' Tacoma and the wife has an 06 beetle conv. Both paid off and trying to decide what to do. We need an awd suv type and I need a commuter.
