Maybe I'm just expecting too much for my 34000.00 dollars but that plastic interior is cheap. I was cleaning out the cup holders that have the tabs with springs and the towel got snagged and pulled the tabs right out. While I was trying to put back together my fingernails scratched the plastic all over the place. For the price Toyota charges you would think the quality would be better.

So far the only complaint I have about interior is the flimsy glove box.

I have no complaints about the interior of my truck, except for the amazingly bad square cupholders.

Edit:. Oh. This is the 3rd gen forum....sorry.

I drove a rental Frontier... you can literally write your name in the door plastic with your nails... for the record, I didn't, but it's possible.

OP, it's hard for a manufacturer to walk the line between hard rattle inducing plastic (cheap) and overly soft, easily marring plastic. I like my interior and have had zero issues.

In the defense of the op, the plastic does mar and scratch extremely easily

I actually have one round cup that I can jam in there and have it stay. Disposable ones are no go.

The first time I discovered this feature. I really needed coffee that day:

I could literally drive to the exact spot right now. It's burned in my mind forever.

Making the turn out of the coffee shop in a hurry was a bad idea.

Edit:. Breakfast burrito was good though.

Another 3rd gen buyer overwhelmed with new vehicle lust during a limited test drive / vehicle inspection evidenced by post purchase complaints on obvious pre purchase items.

Not defending the interior or Toyota. Just suggesting you had other options for your $

I know Estes Park from my younger days (80's). I bet it's crowded now!
