2011 Mustang with the new 5.0L V8. All of the cars on that list are cool, though.

 

The new Camaro is based on the Holden Commodore and has I.R.S. The new Camaro is actually an E body. I am assuming we are talking about the 2010 model. The F body Camaro (in production from 1967 - 2002) had a solid rear axle.

Correct. The G8 is a rebadged Commodore made in Australia. The Camaro uses this platform, but is made in Canada. I see the new Camaro all day long at the Chevy dealer I work at and I must admit it's a nice car, but I like the 2011 Mustang a little better. Just a little.

It's very cool that all three pony cars are available again and styled as modern versions of the models that made them famous. I wouldn't be ashamed to have any one of them in my garage. Now, if I can only find that damn money tree.

oh so i was close... cool. sucks the new maro has irs. i hated the gto rear. its a 7.5" no where near strong enough for 400+ torque. stock tires were fine. i jumped to 245 sticky tires and wasted 2 rear ends...

Go for a used Lotus Elise. They can be had for under 35K and have a Toyota engine! They are easy to work on and the mods are endless.

The new Camaro's are surprisingly incredibly fast. When one raced my friend on the track a little back, it did very good and almost kept up for a bit. I was blown away. It was stock and was just a beast. With some mods that thing will run amazing times.

 

x2 At the dragstrip here in my town, a Camaro SS was dusting race ready cars. It was AMAZING.

 

The one that was racing my friend ran 12.8-13.0 which is respectable. Plus they pull hard at speed.

 

This one was running mid-10's and low-11's. Idk about mods (if any).
