I was short on funds and needed tires. So picked theses up brand name multitrac set of 4 was $440.00 total out the door, strictly pavement use so far so good. Any body out there here of or using this brand and your thoughts.

Interesting, the tread looks like the original Michelin LTX. Do they say USDOT or any of that on the sidwall?

The problem with cheap tires is they tend not to wear well or hold a balance, mostly due to the carcass construction. Hopefully these don't have that issue for you.

When I first started racing I was given some good advice. When your budget can only afford tires or bodywork buy tires. If you don’t you will need to buy 2 sets of bodywork and still need tires.

I never cheap out on tires. When you crash your deductible is how much? What did you save in the end?

Dude didn't have money and needed tires. When it comes down to eating or better tires you choose food. Regardless, I don't have experience w/ those but do work for a wholesaler and we've sold "value" lines for quite a few years. They are getting more and more popular. You buy cheap tires, you get cheap tires. As long as you understand that you're in a good spot.

I'm curious to see what comes out of this thread. OP, I have not run such tires so I have little to add. How many miles have you got on those tires so far?

I run knock of MT tires. Bought a set of five 35s for 900 out the door. They wear fast but do the job. Great on the rocks too

My mom use to buy the cheapest no name tires she could find. She never had any tire failures, but the tires were typically read for the shit bin after 16-18k. She was lucky to get a year and half out of them before they were bald. Yes the car alignment was fine.

Cheap tires = false economy. I tired explaining to my mom that she should buy Michelins, but she was never having it.

How long have you had those tires? They were manufactured over 3 years ago. Kind of a long time for tires to sit on the shelf.

I'll be curious to see how many miles you get out of them.

It is known that chinese tires are rip-offs of bigger brands like michelin, goodyear, bridgestone, pirelli etc

They are not produced to be as performant, they are produced for the sake of selling cheap. Performance is given up for a cheap selling price, so durability, grip and overall performance are reduced when compared to a bigger brand tire.

Chinese winter tires are to avoid because they perform poorly in icy and slippery conditions

Better saving for quality tires than cheap tires that will need to be replaced after a season or two. Then tires are the only contact point of the car with the ground, so another reason to not cheap out on tires...

Take back what i said. I forgot about the accident my freinds were involved in. Lost my freind and her brother due too cheap tires. They were coming back from Disneyland. Nothing happened to her husband, who is also a close freind, or their 2 year old. It was tragic
