    I ordered an knockoff awning for a too good to be true price off walmart like a year ago when it was circulating on the forum.

    Seller gave a tracking number, but never shipped it.

    Walmart told me to go fly a kite.

    Had to dispute it with paypal.

    I’m not terribly worried about getting scammed paying through Walmart with PayPal. Both of those companies stand to lose hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars if they have a breach of their payment systems, so they spend millions securing and testing. Not saying you can’t get scammed through those companies, just saying it’s a lot less likely than buying from a smaller company. Use PayPal or a major credit card and disputing any fraud is pretty easy.

    Admittedly at this price I’m expecting the plastic to be the quality of the shit they pack Valentine’s Day chocolates in, or the color will be wrong, or it won’t fit well, or all of the above. And if any of that happens I’m sure returning the item will be a headache or impossible. But it’s $5. If it’s decent: great, I’ve got a backup grill in case I ever want to fauxbro my truck. If it sucks, ah well, I’m out the price of a nice cup of coffee.
