You basically just throw some adhesive velcro where the plastic at the base of the seat belt touches the plastic on the side of the seat. Make sure to clean any dust or dirt off first then i used rubbing alcohol to get a good clean base for the adhesive velcro to stick on. at the end it took maybe 5 minutes maybe $1 worth of material and it wont 100% fix the seat belt getting caught in the door due to a weak or dirty retractor but id say this has eliminated 80-90% of my seat belt getting caught issues.image1 (5).jpg image2 (3).jpg image3 (3).jpg image1 (6).jpg

yeah definitely on the list but i'm just hesitant to spend $200 dollars on something so boring as a seat belt even though its a safety item maybe with my tax return.

There’s a way to make the seat belt tightening mechansm work better so the belt doesn’t hang out the door.

please let us know how to do this! ... I have been having issues with my belt for quite awhile (always having to hand feed it back into where it goes before hopping out) I think my passenger side belt is same way, too

yeah that would be a good idea to tighten it but this method seems to have fixed most of my seat belt getting stuck in the door issues and im planning on just replacing the belt at some point so I don't want to go through all the hassle of cleaning and tightening the belt just to replace it but that looks like a more legit way to go if the seat belt is still in good shape.

    Tasteful modifications :)
Good idea! I’ll also be doing this! I hate my seatbelt especially when it decides to throw itself out of my door

There's a thread on that somewhere around here. I thought I remember a TW one, but the 4x4wire one is good too.

The main problem is just that the coiling mechanism gets dirty and gummed up. Take it apart, clean it and throw some lube on it.

Wouldn't hurt to clean the belt itself real good, too.
