So about a year or two ago i bought a new windshield. It was pretty cheap (around 150 installed). Problem is it has some kind of film on it. Kinda like a smokers truck. Ive tried alcohol, window wipes, and Windex. Nothing is removing it. Any suggestions? Any and all help is appreciated.

I dont believe it has a uv film. More like when some one smokes inside the vehicle.

use 97% iso-alcohol and wipe it down with newspaper, its the best to remove oil, grease, and cigarette smoke film on glass.

that 50% iso-alcohol is mostly water and isn't a good cleaner

Make a paste with Bon Ami powdered cleanser and rub away, rinse it off really good with water. This stuff cleans glass really good. You can also use 0000 steel wool to polish. As other chimed in, vinegar and crumpled up newspaper works great.
