Hey guys I'm looking to buy a set of steps for my tacoma . I want oem cause they are the only ones that extend out past the rear door on the long bed .

Any place online have them for a good deal ? I haven't tried my local toyota dealer yet but they normally don't have good deals ..

I'd start by checking eBay, they are much cheaper than list. Also compare at Amazon for your new stuff. If used is ok, I'd check the classifieds here, ToyotaNation, and Craigslist. Sometimes you even luck out and the person is selling a new takeoff set because they didn't want them when they bought the truck, but it was part of the package. You should be aware that shipping is going to factor in here, as they are pretty long and incur additional shipping charges.

the local toyota has one or two 20% off events on all parts. Got mine during one of the sales, saved me around $60

Tire shop down the road from me has a chrome pair they're trying to sell. They've been there a while, bet they would be willing to make a deal...

TRD toy, they usually advertise the sale in the newspaper. Not sure if your local toyota has a similar sale. might be worth a quick call to see if it exists.

Ya I found a nice set of used steps that are a good deal but are a bit of a ride away .

Only prob is they are gray and not black like I want .

What are my options on painting ? Would plasti dip hold up in a area like that ?

New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
with proper preparation, you can spray them black, don't know how plasti dip would hold up...

if they are a really good deal, get them and change the color to suit you...

There are many people here who have Plastidipped wheels, bumpers, and whole vehicles! I'd say if you use many coats on the steps and try to only step on the pads, you won't have a problem.

Yeah, I don't blame you. I wouldn't do it either. I threw it out there just in case you REALLY wanted some. Good luck finding some.
