Truck is doing the check charging system thing but all external lights work like normal. I’ve searched for this typical problem but can’t find a thread where OP reports in at the end. Is this the battery or something “worse”?

Try the other key fob. Maybe the battery in the fob died. If you have auto start by pressing the fob three times, it can drain your battery.

Maybe this is a stupid question - but wouldn’t you have to be using that feature a LOT for it to drain the batter much quicker than normal use?

If or once you get it started.
Take it to the dealer, do you have roadside assistance from the dealership?

Just a battery, some batteries last 10 years some 10 months.

    Just for future searchers:

I’d try to start the truck and there was some clicking with no turn over but the interior and exterior lights worked as well as the radio. I put a new battery in and she cranked up no problem.

obviously this is a known problem but it was probably made worse with my recent move to Anchorage
