Called the dealer to get it in for a look see. Service department is open on Saturdays but they tell me that they don't do warranty work on Saturdays.

Lovely. I've got to rework my schedule to get it looked at under the week.

Oh well. It's a Toyota. Should run forever.

Do you get it when the vehicle is running?

If it's not on while the engine is running, no concern. Curious as to exactly when you're seeing the message...

Normal. If you have the key in the On position or press the Push to Start button twice without the brake pedal depressed, your car will be in the ON position. If your car is in the ON position with your motor OFF and it doesn't see current coming from the alternator it will give you that warning.

All of this is totally normal. Get on any vehicle and you will see the battery light go ON on any vehicle.

I turned the key one click forward and it appears in red and the yellow triangle lights up. Strange that this is normal. My wife has a RAV4 and it doesn't do this. Oh well, if they tell me it's normal I guess I'll forget about it. I'm getting my oil changed same day I'm at 2,300 miles now after 7 months. They are also checking the A/C. That freaking compressor comes on and off way too many times for my liking and when it does it feels like the truck is misfiring.

I will likely trade for a 2017 SR 4x4 in November. Something about the gutless 2.7L M/T that I like.
