Yes I did. Made a case stated that I shouldn't have a problem from a brand new truck.

To make you feel better. Got my wife an Audi Q5, and it had the check engine light come on 3 times in the first 400 miles. Had it at the dealer 3 times, and she had to drive a loaner vehicle for weeks. I didn't feel too great about reliability, but it's been 4 years, and we haven't been to the dealer for anything other than oil changes. So yeah...enjoy the truck and you have the extended warranty in case anything else happens.

I would really like to understand how this happens, has to be human error on the assembly line, my concerns are that the new truck is being assembled in Texas!! Football season and all this fantasy crap equals mistakes!! Plus all the other distractions Americans face on a daily basis!! Yes, I have worked in many American car plants to form this opinion.

Unfortunately, there is truth in this. I hope the people putting these trucks together enjoy their jobs and take pride in their work. But I keep running into disgruntled employees everywhere, that hate their life/employer, and simply don't care to do a good job. I see this at restaurants, where sometimes the waiter/waitress is having a bad day, or the cook isn't paying attention. One could argue that they're not paid enough, but I see software engineers that don't care about their jobs and don't care to do write good code, even though they're paid six figures. And because it's a high demand field, they don't get fired.... this stuff really bothers me. :(

If you are reading this, and you hate your job.... please do the world a favor and quit. Do something that you enjoy instead. Do something that you are interested in perfecting.

I had the Trac Off and Check Engine lights come on today. Trac Off light was intermittently on and the Check Engine light was solidly lit. Took it in to the dealer and they said it was showing error code P0455 "Evaporative Emissions Leak". They found no leaks and cleared the codes. I checked the gas cap before taking it to the dealer, but they said it could take a day for the lights to turn off once the gas cap is properly screwed on.

Called Stevenson Toyota West at Lakewood, CO. Service Advisor (JoAllen) told me to bring a truck for service. They run the test(Gary)and result was 2 Evap Code P0455 and 430 for gross leaks. They use scan tool. System passed! They think cap was loose previous. Warning light's are gone! This is full tank from time i purchased the truck...Thank You Julie Sand for taking care of my truck, Stevenson Service rock's!!!

Always put the gas cap on yourself and make sure it clicks once.

Dam, just got this problem today along with loud clanking noises and hard engagement when shifting into Park, Reverse & Drive. Brought it to the dealer. I'll update as soon as I find out wtf is going on.

Uluahunta - Any update on your truck? Mine is experiencing the same problems with the Trac and CEL. Popping noise backing out of the driveway. Getting ready to have mine towed to the dealer tomorrow. Thanks...

4XO - At first they thought it was due to low trans fluid but after topping it off the problem still remained. Now they're telling me it's a problem with a shift solenoid which is controled by the computer so they have one on order which was suppose to arrive on Weds but after calling them yesterday it still hasn't arrived. The trucks been in the shop since last week Monday(Feb 22) and still nobody can give me a straight answer. I was trying to push for a replacement truck but all I get is the run around. I hope you have better luck! Aloha!

Just got my truck back today. They said they pulled code P079513 (open SL3 circuit) in addition to several other misc codes. Inspected at ECM, pin fit and checked for open in circuit, possible loose connection at ECM. They test drove and the primary code and others did not return. We'll see if this takes care of the issue. Hope so. They opened a case with Toyota. I will report any further issues or updates to this thread.

Got my truck back yesterday. They pulled code P079513 (Pressure Control Solonoid C Circuit Open) & P271313 (Pressure Control Solonoid D Circuit Open). They replaced the ECM and now everything runs as it should. Hopefully there aren't any more problems:fingerscrossed:

:mudding:Issues with the ECM seem to be a common theme. Hope its replacement takes care of the issue.
