So I fixed the clutch issue now I’ve got another problem. When I left home this evening, truck idled fine and would, rev inneutral but as soon as I get on the road, it starts sputtering and the check engine light starts flashing. I turned around and came back home, parked it and as long as it’s idling in and in neutral, it will run fine but as soon as I put it under a load, it starts sputtering. Not sure if it’s injectors, plugs, fuel pump, etc. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thanks guys, what’s the best inexpensive code reader available? I don’t wanna break the bank to fix a $10 part, lol.

    No need to buy anything.

Just drive to your friendly OReilly's and then to Autozone and ask if somebody can read out the stored codes. Be ready to write down the numbers as they read them out to you. Then come back here and post them.

Flashing CEL means misfires, driving for an extended period of time will damage your catalytic converter.

once you get the code read and have a cylinder # of the misfire, take the coil from that cylinder and swap it with another cylinder. I also suggest taking the spark plug out of the misfiring cylinder and swapping it with another cylinder (other than the one you swapped the coil with).

after that, clear codes and see what returns. If code moves with the coil swapped cylinder, replace the coil. If code moves with the spark plug swapped cylinder, replace plugs.

If the misfire stays, you have bigger problems and will need further diagnosis. Next step IMO would be either swapping injectors or pressurizing the cooling system and sticking a bore scope in the misfiring cylinder.
