Just had my clutch changed and once it was done the check engine light came on for P0051 sensor 1 bank 2 O2 sensor. With the engine running i cleared the code and immedieatly it came back along with another code P2238, sensor 1 bank 1 O2 sensor. Did the shop just wire the them backwards or is there something else that would cause this?

I would make sure they didn't pinch any wiring in between the transmission and the engine or tear any wiring.

These codes Tripped how many days after you picked up the truck? Not sure where you get these codes

Unsecured Wires got against exhaust ??

    pinched wires is also possible?

Just your bad luck to happen now.

Just curious why you did not address the issue then before leaving.

Unless if was a friend that did the work for beverages and food and no money changed hands

If your really lucky you might find the problem.

    Best of luck!!

Did you check and make sure there wasn't any pinched or disconnected wiring?

Finding a good Shop is really very hard when you do find one anything serious your looking at a 2 week time frame to get in the door.

I would check the wires on the right side of the transmission up near the top clueless people tend to forget to remove them and do some serious yanking trying to get the transmission

    Good Luck!

Did you get this fixed yet?

I just did a clutch and have the same code.

Hard code on within a minute. Scanner says open loop fault fuel 2.

Scanner also shows the 02 sensors working.

    All harnesses trace good.

    Swapped relays....same.

Comes on to fast to be an exhaust leak you can't hear or feel.

Solved: My bank one sensor 1 did not survive the clutch job. The sensor failed on start up. 250,000 miles. I had replaced one sensor late last year. I had one dowel pin stuck in the trans housing and had to wiggle and bang to free it up, I guess that was too much for it.
I think of the sensors as a little battery to monitor fuel but I think in high milage situations they become more like a little light bulb.
