check engine light out

passed emissions inspection. few months back ordered a denso bank 1 sensor from ebay, got a great deal on it and it put the light out for a little bit. well it came back on and i needed to pass the yearly. it was showing code p2237 so i took a chance and bought a new bank 1 sensor this time from advance auto. well it put the light out by itself after a few cycles. drove it till all the systems were ready and passed. i believe i may have gotten a counterfeit sensor the first time. i also changed the pcv valve.

 

eBay and Amazon are rife with fake Chinese knockoff OEM sensors and fuel injectors, among other parts. Most likely did get a counterfeit one.

 

Anything that touches the engine computer I'd buy real oem....

I bet its safer to buy a used oem part off ebay than a new one.....at least then you'd have half a chance.....thats sad
