Hello I have a problem. I took My Toyota Tacoma 2006 Short bed Double cabin to Toyota of El Cajon For the 60,000 mile service.
    I paid $234.00 Labor and $120.00 Parts. $365.59 total.

i Only drove the truck 17 miles since the service. Today after a 3 day weekend i returned to work. and i notice an Engine light. I stopped and check my oil and it was fine. but i noticed a small air leak through a plastic intake tubing from my air intake cover. It Seems as if it had a 1/2 inch hose connected in there at one point but now is missing. i took a picture of it. any Idea what may be connected there whatever it was is no longer there.

    It should look like this:

The hose being disconnected from the VSV would definitely throw a CEL.

Looks like the clamp might be missing from the hose. Take it back in and have them hook it up, test it, and clear the code. The tech forgot to hook it back in and they need to take care of that.

Take the battery cables off for ten minutes or use a code reader to reset.

You can disconnect the battery for a while, but you could also just live with the light for the next few days. Once the computer sees the problem is gone, it will turn the light off.
