    Check engine light came on earlier. The code is p0012. Can anyone help with possible fix? Truck seems to be running fine with 133xxx miles

    have you or anyone been messing inside the engine bay recently ?

    no, then likely a bad sensor

    no, bad or dirty oil, or oil sludge got loose and plugged oil flow to VVT

    actual problem: Incorrect camshaft timing
    possible problem: Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system
    possible problem: Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber
    possible problem: Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)

    mine just did the same thing at 159,xxx miles, what did you have to do to fix it?
