Tech probably forgot to plug a purge line in. I bet AA cleared it and once the truck runs an EVAP test tonight, it'll pop the code again.

The truck will run fine. Chances are you're gonna get another CEL. Take it back tell them it had a Evap code thrown. It's on them to fix it. Been there done that. Not a big deal.

I’m just going to do it when I’m off this Thursday. I just personally hate going to the dealer and waiting.

It is what it is. Request a loaner, my dealer gave me one. A TRD Offroad was my loaner.

I dropped my truck off after work in the evening and picked it up the next evening.

The triangle is a maintenance light that comes on at normal intervals as well as displays warnings such as the windows being left open, etc. The check engine light talks about actual issues with the vehicle interrupting normal operation in some way (even if you don't notice any difference).

Generally there aren't symptoms with that one. It's more of an emissions thing.

I just had this same exact thing happen to me after CA basically forced me to get the recall done so I could renew my reg because “emissions”. @SithLord29 Did you end up taking it to the dealer or did the CEL never come back?

Wanted to update this thread for anyone else that runs into this in the future. I took the truck to the dealer and health check found codes p04417e, p04419c and p045500 all relating to evap leak. Inspection found that vent hose was not secured properly. Tech re-secured and ran evap system check and found no leaks present after repair. Check engine light is gone, it's been a few weeks. If anyone else runs into this it's probably not a big deal, dealer just forgot to tighten up one of the connections.
