My 03 threw this code last week, it is low voltage heater sensor1/ bank 1. I cleared the code with the scanner and it has not returned. Try clearing it with the scanner or disconnecting the battery, so the ecu will reset itself. If the code reappears then you will probably need to replace the 02 sensor.

As for the idle when you reset the ecu, it needs some time to get the correct air/fuel ratio. Mine did the same thing, huge pain in the ass when you drive stick, was back to normal in a few days.

Is it still throwing the same code?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You're truck is in "limp" mode.

Interesting that it threw a P0051 even though it only has one AFR.

    Here are somethings to check

.........but chances are you will need a new AFR. I highly suggest getting the OEM DENSO sensor.

Check Rockauto's vendor forum. They may still have a discount code available. Or you could always PM them.

Quick question how do you know that the afr sensor needs to be replaced when the code is for a faulty O2 sensor heater?

Because the heater is located inside the sensor.
