    Went by my sponsor and picked up some goodies. He just started getting chorizo, andoulli (however you spell it) Cajun, and banger sausages made so I got a pound of each. Plus I got a couple lbs of burger, a half chicken, a half gal of raw milk, dozen eggs, and a sirloin that has to be 2 lbs slice about 1" thick so its the size of a pizza haha.

    have you baked many fruit pies? Trying to find a good recipe that the pie sets up. One recipe you read says use cornstarch...the other says cornstarch doesnt hold up to heat that well...:frusty:. I did find a recipe that says to use tapioca flour instead of cornstarch. Going to try that at some point.

    I havent baked much of anything this summer cuz my a.c. already cant keep up. I've fried some apple pies a couple months ago tho just used SR flour, sugar, water and butter or shortening I think

    I was watching "man food fire" last night and they had an episode where one of the guests waffled some mac and cheese with some cheddar cheese. he sprayed both sides of the waffle iron and then the top of the cheese. Looked really good. Thought of you and your waffle addiction ;)

    How did that work? Were the noodles already cooked or did he put water in the waffle iron and kind of steam them?

    mac and cheese was already cooked, he just put a big heaping pile on and then the cheddar cheese on top, sprayed the top of cheese with cooking spray. closed the waffle Iron and waited till it beeped...probably about 4minutes and opened up the griddle to mac and cheese crunchy goodness ;)
