    Thanks to all the info I gathered on this site I decided to black out my chrome rear bumper. The process was really easy and I really like the results. The next task will be the chrome surrounding my grillcraft. Thanks for all the help guys/gals.

    no I just cleaned the chrome real good with windex then alcohol and sprayed.

    It turned out really nice

    my only concern is if it will adhear good, chrome is preatty durable.

    only time will tell

    I know i have thought about doing it to mine at some point.

    no I didnt painted it I used spary plati dip from home depot. I was like 8 bucks a can. Theres a thread on here where someone used it around the center consule and it came out real good.

    If it ever scuffs you can peel the Rubberised paint (plasti dip) easily and do it all over because of the stuff he used.

    Bugger, skid plate, colour coded cap, bed mat, AFE Air Filter, Rear diff breather mod, Chirp on door lock;unlock, ABS mod, Weathertechs front and rear, 60" Hi-lift jack, LED light mod in rear bed, 12V accessory in bed, n more stuff.
    I used truck bed liner on mine early last summer and it is holding up real well. All chrome gone now. Whew!

    I'm also interested in how many coats... I plasti-dipped the chrome part of the grill a while ago. I 'm trying to get rid of all the chrome as well.
